Seated Couple

Rick Haugen grew up in Yankton, South Dakota and made his way to Augustana University in Sioux Falls. Immersing himself in art and anthropology, he spent countless hours carving stone, sculpting, printmaking and studying art and cultures throughout human history. After graduation, Rick had the privilege of working as a full-time assistant to Minnesota sculptor Paul Granlund for five years and then operating the studio and foundry for two years after Granlund’s death.
In 2006, Rick founded BronzeAge Art Casting in Sioux Falls where he and his tea provide mold making and casting services to other artists and designers. He and his sculpture maintenance team provide repair, restoration, consultation and installation services across the Midwest.
Rick has sculptures and prints in private collections in New York, Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Arizona and Florida. He has exhibited his larger bronze castings in exhibits in British Columbia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and South Dakota. Ricks sculpture this year is “Seated Couple”, and the price is $32,000.
